Singapore, Singapore, April 04, 2006
--(PR.COM)-- The Thai government has awarded TeleRadio Engineering
(TeleRadio) a leading UVSS manufacturer, a contract to supply
their Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems to protect a critical
installation where key Thai government personnel operate.
The UV2 Under Vehicle Surveillance
Systems ordered will conduct undercarriage inspection to
vehicles entering key premises. The advance systems will
also serve as an essential tool to help reduce traffic disruption
and also enhanced security measures.
Operators of UV2 commented
that using UVSS systems are at least 10 times more effective
and efficient than the traditional search mirrors. Security
personnel do not need to be physically present at the screening
bay during inspection; hence the risk of inspection is greatly
reduced.
Security operators conduct
a thorough vehicle inspection from a computerized user interface
that displays the entire undercarriage image for examination.
They can also make use of the additional features provided
with the system. Features include zoom in/out, comparison
images, vehicle entry report and also vehicle license plate
capturing, completing a thorough inspection in less than
3 - 5 seconds per vehicle.
According to Mr Robyn Tay,
Director of TeleRadio, “Vehicle screening is now more
thorough than ever when you provide the operator with a
non-moving clear image for inspection. Moreover, with special
features such as zoom in, the operator can immediately zoom
to any suspicious area for further investigation. This is
notably one of the best features of UV2.”
